Career Educator
Orange High School
Hillsborough, North Carolina
Nick Montgomery is a career educator in the N.C. Public Schools. He has helped numerous students over the years graduate from high school, obtain internships, enroll in college, and gain employment. He has also been the head coach of a number of successful high school varsity teams. In spite of all this, he still does not know what to do with his life. He is a father of two and in his spare time enjoys relaxing with his children or going to UNC Tar Heel basketball games. He also enjoys reading nonfiction books about history and true crime. A carnivorous plant enthusiast, he can often be found walking through marshes or forests looking for some new species of plants. He has a legendary dislike for cheese and country music. A Francophile, he also has a photographic memory and can often recall people's phone and license plate numbers from forty years ago or more. His favorite quote is by Albert Einstein: “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” He has traveled abroad and many places within the U.S. but lists Zanzibar and the Greek Isles as destinations he'd like to visit.
